HCGOP Election Integrity Update

Dear Horry County Republicans,

Please click the link below for an update of recent progress, following the August 1 2022 approval of our HCGOP Election Integrity Resolution. The update summarizes our presentation of the resolution at Horry County Council August 16 2022, our participation in the Horry County Administration Committee Meeting August 22 2022, and filings this week to obtain Cast Vote Records data and to preserve election records, related to the 2020 Primary and General Elections.

HCGOP Chairman Communication

Dear Horry County Republicans,

We have received a number of questions recently regarding HCGOP meetings. In order to clarify the different types of meetings and attendance restrictions, we have compiled the following summary, which can be accessed at the link below. Thanks and please advise any other specific questions or further needs for clarification.

HCGOP Resolution To Be Presented to Horry County Council Tuesday - August 16, 2022 - 6:00 pm

As previously communicated on August 2, 2022, the Horry County Republican Party Executive Committee passed the Election Integrity Resolution by unanimous vote on Monday, August 1, 2022. HCGOP EC members in attendance also physically signed the Resolution in a show of solidarity.

The Election Integrity Resolution illustrates numerous instances of flaws in electronic voting equipment, specifically in South Carolina and generally throughout the United States. The resolution also highlights significant election errors committed in the runoff election of June 28, 2022 in Horry County, specifically related to the Horry County Board of Voter Registration and Elections, which mailed 1377 Democrat Party ballots to voters who had requested ballots for the June 28, 2022 runoff election of Republican Party candidates. The resolution specifically calls for an investigation of this error by the Horry County Council, the Horry County Sheriff and the District 15 Solicitor.

The HCGOP is to present the Election Integrity Resolution at the next Horry County Council meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, at 6pm. Roger Slagle, Chairman of the HCGOP will present it on behalf of all members. Please join us at the meeting at 1301 2nd Avenue in Conway to show support for the Resolution and our strong desire to to ensure that County Council takes appropriate action. Hope to see you Tuesday.

HCGOP Chairman Communication - June 29 2022

Dear Horry County Republicans,

Many of you may have received an email sent by Judy Henion and Steve Hoffman, regarding the lawsuit filed on behalf of Matthew McDaniel. This lawsuit includes the Horry County Republican Party, Roger Slagle, Tracy Beanz, Jeremy Halpin, and others outside our party as defendants, as we have discussed since the filing of this litigation in July 2021.

The Binnall Law Group is representing the Horry County Republican Party and continues to provide legal advice to the HCGOP related this case. The Binnall Law Group has also been working on strategies to resolve this case over the past few months. Please see the attached letter from Jason Greaves, the lead attorney from the Binnall Law Group, representing the HCGOP in this case, accessible through the link below.

Attached is the affidavit, sent from Mr. Tucker Player, attorney for the plaintiff, to the Binnall Law Group, referenced in the letter from Jason Greaves, accessible through this link. The relevant case documents are also attached, and accessible through this link

Thanks for your patience in this matter and please know that we are working diligently with our lawyers to resolve this matter for the party.

Roger Slagle

Chairman

Please see the results of the HCGOP Midterm Straw Poll, held the evening of May 13 2022 at our event in Barefoot Resort. Click the link below to see the results.

The Horry County Republican Party would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the candidates and elected officials, who attended this highly informative and successful event, especially those who were quite generous to make donations to the Party for the event.

We also thank our HCGOP members who attended, evaluated candidates and cast ballots at the event, as well as thanks for the attendance and participation of many others, new to any HCGOP gathering.

Words cannot express the gratitude of the Chairman for the incredible and tireless planning, preparation and execution by our organizers and volunteers, most notably the leader, our event director Elizabeth Caton. This event was a huge success due mostly to the vision, creativity and drive that Elizabeth exhibited.

Lastly, we wish to send a special thanks to our guest speaker General Michael T. Flynn, who inspired everyone in the ballroom with his words, passion and patriotism.

HCGOP MONTHLY MEETING AND CANDIDATE FORUM - MONDAY MAY 2 2022 5:30PM - 8:00PM.

We look forward to seeing you at our next HCGOP monthly meeting on May 2 2022 at the General Robert H. Reed Recreation Center. This is our regularly scheduled monthly party meeting with a full agenda, due to the time allocated for the candidate forum, focused on candidates for Horry County Council.

We highly encourage all members to arrive by 5:00pm to expedite sign in, and to have a chance to speak with our invited guests. There is no executive session planned, and therefore the meeting is open to all; however anyone with an urgent agenda item for the May meeting, please contact the HCGOP Chairman, and we will try to accommodate and prioritize requests.
